Juventus weigh mid-season loans for Chiesa and García, La Gazzetta reports
Juventus examine loan options for Federico Chiesa and Gonzalo García, per La Gazzetta report today
Juventus are reported to be exploring temporary moves for two fringe forwards this winter as they look to bolster their attacking options. La Gazzetta dello Sport says the Turin club have shown interest in a return for Federico Chiesa and in a loan for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García.
The report adds that midfield and the wing back positions require reinforcement, but the forward department could also see additions if Juventus are to sustain recent good form. Chiesa is a particular target because of his versatility and familiarity with Italian football. The Italy international joined Liverpool from the Serie A side in 2024 but an injury-ravaged debut season limited his impact and Arne Slot has largely ignored him since the beginning of the current campaign despite some impressive showings from the bench.
Juve are keen to source an alternative to Kenan Yıldız on the flank to ensure the precocious 20-year-old isn’t overworked. Chiesa’s versatility and knowledge of Italian football are considered major positives. Chiesa’s possible return is a “tantalising” prospect for Juve executives but any move would depend on Liverpool’s willingness to sanction a temporary exit. The Reds have used him sparingly this season but find themselves short on options heading into 2026 following Alexander Isak’s long-term injury and Mohamed Salah’s absence at the Africa Cup of Nations.
García is also linked with a spell in Italy. The 21-year-old made an unexpected impact at the FIFA Club World Cup and has served as Xabi Alonso’s backup No. 9 this term, appearing mainly from the bench. He has started just three matches in all competitions for Los Blancos this season and has attracted Premier League interest, according to the same coverage. Juventus are reportedly considering a loan with an option or obligation to buy for the young Spaniard, though it is unclear whether Real Madrid would permit an exit after they allowed Endrick to join Lyon on loan for the second half of the season.

Where Dusan Vlahović Could Land After Juventus Exit
Vlahović leaves Juventus on a free transfer; wage demands blocked a deal; suitors include Liverpool,
Dušan Vlahović will leave Juventus this summer on a free transfer after attempts to renew his contract collapsed. Juve’s director of football strategy, Giorgio Chiellini, has revealed that Vlahović’s wage demands were the major stumbling block in negotiations over a contract renewal, even claiming no club in Italy could offer the center forward his financial expectations. The Serbia international’s absence from the World Cup should simplify talks, and several high-profile clubs emerge as realistic destinations.
Liverpool could revisit the striker market despite a significant outlay on forwards last summer, reportedly nearly $200 million. Alexander Isak’s debut season is described as disastrous and Hugo Ekitiké faces a long-term lay-off after rupturing his Achilles tendon, a problem that could keep him out until 2027. Those issues leave Liverpool exposed up front, but Vlahović’s reported wage demands of around $178,000 per week and the temporary nature of the Reds’ striker problems would complicate any move.
Real Madrid have prioritised defensive business ahead of José Mourinho’s return, with Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries expected to be confirmed as signings. The club’s forward options outside Kylian Mbappé are limited. Endrick enjoyed a promising loan at Lyon and is set to play a bigger role under Mourinho, while Gonzalo García remains an inexperienced and inconsistent academy graduate. Vlahović would offer added experience and physicality, and his availability on a free transfer would be attractive to the Spanish side.
Barcelona have already completed the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United and are pursuing Julián Alvarez as their primary target to replace the outgoing Robert Lewandowski. Financial constraints and wage considerations remain a concern for Barça, so a no-fee acquisition like Vlahović would be tempting if they seek further reinforcement or if Ferran Torres departs.
At Bayern Munich, Harry Kane is the undisputed No. 9 but the club lacks a long-term deputy after Nicolas Jackson’s loan will not be made permanent. Vlahović has scored 12 or more goals in each of the past four seasons with Juve and could provide a cost-effective option as rotation cover or an impact substitute against lesser opposition.

Robertson weighs Spurs option as Juventus enter the race after Anfield goodbye
Andy Robertson free agent: Spurs and Juventus among clubs showing interest this summer for Robertson
Andy Robertson has been given a clear decision to make this summer after an emotional farewell at Anfield. The Scotland captain will leave Liverpool when his contract expires next month, and a number of destinations are reported to be considering a move for the 32-year-old.
The left back, who turned 32 in March, said he still believes he can compete at the highest level. His final appearance at Anfield saw him forced to share minutes with new arrival Milos Kerkez, a signing described in reports as disappointing during Robertson’s last game for the club. With Liverpool entering a new era without many of their Jürgen Klopp stalwarts, both player and club felt the timing was right to part ways.
Robertson came close to leaving Liverpool in January, when Tottenham Hotspur pursued the experienced defender. The left back was happy to move on, but the Reds hesitated as they struggled to find a replacement and ultimately prevented the move from going through. Spurs, who avoided a stunning relegation on the final day of the Premier League season, are said to remain interested. Some outlets suggest a deal has already been agreed in principle with Robertson, although other clubs are beginning to circle.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are now in the running. The Bianconeri are reported to have contacted Robertson’s entourage to establish the conditions of a possible deal and are considering whether to make an offer. Led by Luciano Spalletti, Juventus endured a disappointing end to a season that showed promise at times; they were knocked out of the Champions League in the knockout playoff round and finished sixth in Serie A, failing to qualify for next season’s competition.
The move to Italy would not be without precedent for Scottish players. Six Scots played in Serie A this season, including Napoli duo Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour and Torino striker Ché Adams. McTominay finished 18th in the 2025 Ballon d’Or after helping Napoli to the title under Antonio Conte last season. The final decision now rests with Robertson as offers and interest take shape.

Who Has Won the Most League Titles in Europe’s Big Five?
Five players have reached 13 league titles across Europe’s top five leagues; Lewandowski joined them
Winning a title in one of Europe’s top five leagues is rare. Even rarer is the company of players who have accumulated double-digit league winners’ medals across the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga.
Only five players in European history have reached a total of 13 league titles, with Robert Lewandowski the latest to join that group. The Polish striker won La Liga for a third time with Barcelona in 2025–26, adding to his eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and two more Meisterschalen with Borussia Dortmund.
Two former Bayern teammates, Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller, complete the group who each have 13 league crowns. Müller and Neuer won all 13 of their league titles with the Bavarian giants. Kingsley Coman also sits on 13: he collected nine Bundesliga crowns with Bayern, alongside two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain and two Serie A triumphs with Juventus. Ryan Giggs provides English representation in the 13-title list, having won 13 Premier League titles during his remarkable 21-year spell with Manchester United.
Three players have reached 12 league titles. Lionel Messi won 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona before adding two Ligue 1 crowns with PSG. Paco Gento is listed on 12 titles for Real Madrid. David Alaba lifted 10 Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich before adding two La Liga triumphs with Real Madrid.
A further four players have won 11 league titles across Europe’s top tiers. Those names include Thiago Alcântara (Barcelona, Bayern Munich), Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus, PSG), Arjen Robben (Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich) and Paul Scholes.
This tally highlights how a small group of players have combined longevity and success at dominant clubs to assemble exceptional league records across Europe’s five leading competitions.
