That figure reflects the player\u2019s existing contract and a potential salary rise that would have applied if United qualify for next season\u2019s Champions League.<\/p>\n
Should United finish among the Premier League\u2019s top five and qualify for the Champions League, Casemiro would have been entitled to a raise of roughly $4 million, taking his potential 2026\u201327 earnings to $24 million. United also retain an option to trigger a one-year extension if he reaches 35 starts this season. The 34-year-old can still reach that mark if he remains ever-present, but the club are not expected to force a stay against his wishes.<\/p>\n
Across fee and wages the numbers are substantial. The initial transfer fee may rise to $93.2 million. Reported annual salaries recorded in the club accounts were $20 million for 2022\u201323, $24 million for 2023\u201324, $20 million for 2024\u201325 and $20 million for 2025\u201326, producing a combined outlay of $176.2 million.<\/p>\n
Casemiro arrived at a difficult moment for the club.
