\u201cBut I don\u2019t think I am the problem. I have done so much for this club. The respect I want to get. I don\u2019t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it. I am not bigger than anyone, but I earned my position.\u201d<\/p>\n
Salah also addressed his relationship with Slot directly. \u201cI said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club.\u201d<\/p>\n
The forward reiterated uncertainty over his short-term future, noting his plans around the club\u2019s upcoming schedule and the Africa Cup. \u201cI called my mum yesterday [and] I said, \u2018come to the Brighton game\u2019. I don\u2019t know if I am going to play or not but I am going to enjoy it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn my head, I\u2019m going to enjoy that game because I don\u2019t know what is going to happen. I will be in Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go to the Africa Cup, because I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen when I\u2019m there [at AFCON].\u201d<\/p>\n
When asked if the Brighton match might be his last, he said: \u201cIn football you never know. I don\u2019t accept this situation. I have done so much for this club.\u201d Salah signed a new two-year contract in April tying him to the club until the summer of 2027, but his comments left the door open on what comes next, with reports suggesting the Saudi Pro League could be a potential destination. The forward added: \u201cI thought I was going to renew here and end my career here, but this is not according to the plan. I\u2019m not regretting signing for the club for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n
