Benjamin \u0160e\u0161ko\u2019s Manchester United progress has been interrupted by a knee problem that the club expect will keep him sidelined until December. At the start of November \u0160e\u0161ko\u2019s tally stood at two goals from 12 appearances and Ruben Amorim warned: “I understand how things are in football and he\u2019s going to struggle. That is normal. He has no experience here.”<\/p>\n
The forward was unable to complete United\u2019s 2\u20132 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after an awkward tangle while stretching for a goal that never came. Amorim raised concerns over the severity of \u0160e\u0161ko\u2019s knee injury immediately after the final whistle and further detail on the striker\u2019s condition has since emerged.<\/p>\n
\u0160e\u0161ko is dealing with a knee issue for the first time in his career. He has otherwise enjoyed a largely clean bill of health, having missed just one game across two full seasons at RB Leipzig. The most troublesome campaign for injuries came in 2021\u201322 when, aged 18, he suffered multiple muscular problems and missed 14 games in total.<\/p>\n
A breakdown of recorded absences, via Transfermarkt, shows the current knee problem listed from Nov. 8, 2025 and ongoing. Previous entries include a torn muscle from Feb. 6, 2022 to March 7, 2022 (six games missed), a thigh problem from Nov. 5, 2021 to Nov. 19, 2021 (three games missed) and a torn muscle from Oct. 17, 2021 to Nov. 1, 2021 (four games missed).<\/p>\n
The Athletic has placed the recovery timeline at three to five weeks. That schedule would allow United to consider the \u20ac85 million (\u00a374.9 million, $98.6 million) summer signing for selection in December. If the full five weeks are required \u0160e\u0161ko could be in contention for the match against Bournemouth on Dec. 15. The compressed festive programme means he could still miss up to four matches, but he should be available before United\u2019s African internationals depart for AFCON at the end of December.<\/p>\n
