Manchester United secured both Premier League monthly honours for October, with Bryan Mbeumo collecting Player of the Month and Ruben Amorim taking Manager of the Month.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old\u2019s Player of the Month prize is his first-ever Premier League monthly award and represents United\u2019s second individual monthly winner this year, following Bruno Fernandes in March. The club\u2019s only Premier League monthly winner in 2024 was Rasmus H\u00f8jlund, who is currently on loan with Napoli.<\/p>\n
\u201cBryan is really direct, and we missed that last year,\u201d United manager Amorim admitted recently.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can sense when the ball is going to our defender, he is already running to position. This kind of small things that people don\u2019t see are massive to turn our team into a more dangerous team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amorim completed a clean sweep for United by being named Manager of the Month after three wins from three during October. Victories over Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion produced a run of results that provided the side with some much-needed momentum and briefly lifted them into a top-four berth.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe credit is not mine, the credit is for my players,\u201d Amorim said. \u201cThey did really well, and our goal is to win the next [award], because it means we win football matches and that is our goal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amorim\u2019s award ends a 23-month wait for a United manager to win the monthly prize; the last United manager to claim it was Erik ten Hag, who took his third and final such award in November 2023.<\/p>\n
