Wolverhampton Wanderers have dismissed manager V\u00edtor Pereira following a calamitous start to the campaign that has left the club bottom of the Premier League table.<\/p>\n
Wolves failed to win any of their first 10 Premier League games this season and sit bottom with just two points. That sequence, combined with a similar run in 2024\u201325, makes them the first side in Premier League history to fail to win any of their opening 10 matches in successive campaigns.<\/p>\n
In recent weeks Pereira had clashed with supporters while the future of striker J\u00f8rgen Strand Larsen became an unwelcome distraction after summer transfer interest from Newcastle United.<\/p>\n
After Saturday\u2019s defeat to Fulham, Pereira insisted he would not resign and pledged to try to turn results around, but club officials decided not to give him the opportunity.<\/p>\n
