Mois\u00e9s Caicedo has confirmed he has ended his working relationship with the two agents who guided his move to Chelsea. The midfielder announced the split on his social media account, saying: \u201cChelsea Football Club star Mois\u00e9s Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic.\u201d<\/p>\n
The post added: \u201cThe contract ended on Aug. 14, 2025, and the player has now appointed people that he can trust.\u201d That message was later deleted from the account.<\/p>\n
Sierra and Barat had been appointed in January 2023. Sierra publicly criticised Brighton after the 2023 winter transfer window, saying \u201cthis is an opportunity that may not be repeated in life,\u201d following Brighton\u2019s rejection of two bids from Arsenal. Despite that dispute, Sierra and Barat later facilitated Caicedo\u2019s \u00a3115 million move to Chelsea in the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest the terse wording of Caicedo\u2019s social post prompted speculation of a fractious split. BBC Sport report that there is no \u201cill will\u201d between Caicedo and his former representatives and that the decision reflects a change in how the player prefers to manage his affairs. He has chosen to be advised by his family without formal agent oversight.<\/p>\n
Caicedo has previously expressed gratitude toward his representatives. When Barat received the Golden Agent Award in 2023, Caicedo said: \u201cYou deserve it for all the work you did in 2023 to bring me to Chelsea, making one of my childhood dreams come true. Now it\u2019s my turn to make history in this club. I love you.\u201d Barat also noted the financial improvement the player experienced, pointing out his weekly pay rose from \u00a360,000 at Brighton to \u00a3150,000 at Chelsea.<\/p>\n
