Arsenal moved above Liverpool at the Premier League summit as Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka scored in a 2-0 win over West Ham United. The victory came in Mikel Arteta\u2019s 300th match in charge and was notable for Martin \u00d8degaard leaving the field injured midway through the first half after a knee clash with Crysencio Summerville.<\/p>\n
The first half offered only a brief scare for the hosts when Niclas F\u00fcllkrug headed over from a corner with David Raya out of position, but Arsenal dominated thereafter. In midfield Rice stood out with an 8.6 rating. He dictated the tempo for long stretches, provided the pass that led to an offside Saka finish, and then opened the scoring with a composed half-volley. Declan Rice did not celebrate the goal after being booed by the home supporters.<\/p>\n
\u00d8degaard, captain and central to Arsenal\u2019s early play, was forced off and replaced by Mart\u00edn Zubimendi, who earned a 7.5 and helped the side maintain control. Eberechi Eze was given 7.2 for his link-up play with Rice and Calafiori.<\/p>\n
Saka, rated 7.9, converted from the penalty spot after J\u00fcrrien Timber was fouled in the area by El Hadji Malick Diouf and VAR confirmed the penalty. Up front Viktor Gy\u00f6keres received 6.5 for his physical contributions but limited goal threat. Leandro Trossard earned 7.5 for a lively showing on the left.<\/p>\n
