Marcus Rashford has made clear he wants to remain at Barcelona for the foreseeable future after a performance that underlined his importance to the team. The forward has not been an instant starter since arriving at Bar\u00e7a, but was asked to take on more responsibility when Lamine Yamal was sidelined with injury. Hansi Flick challenged him to step up, and Rashford delivered by scoring both goals in Thursday night\u2019s 2\u20131 Champions League win over Newcastle United.<\/p>\n
Asked how long he might be a Barcelona player, he said: “As many [seasons] as possible. We will see,” he told TNT Sports. “I have to focus on trying to do my job and trying to help the team in whichever way I can.”<\/p>\n
Rashford also described how adapting to Barcelona’s approach is affecting his game. “I\u2019m learning a lot,” he said. “It\u2019s a new style of football, but it\u2019s making me a better player.
