Manchester City returned to winning form with a 3\u20130 victory over local rivals Manchester United on Sunday. Phil Foden opened the scoring after 18 minutes with a header from about eight yards, beaten goalkeeper Altay Bay\u0131nd\u0131r and sent City ahead.<\/p>\n
Foden started centrally with Bernardo Silva moved out to the right, giving the academy graduate space to operate. J\u00e9r\u00e9my Doku drifted in from the left and helped overload United\u2019s two-man midfield as City controlled large spells of the match. The Stockport-born No. 47 was playing only his second Premier League start since the previous Manchester derby more than five months ago, and his header was his seventh derby goal.<\/p>\n
Erling Haaland completed a second-half brace to seal the result. He opened his account in the 53rd minute, finishing a slick passing sequence in which Foden and Doku were again involved.
