Louis Saha has warned that Benjamin \u0160e\u0161ko may encounter early difficulties at Manchester United if the team cannot provide the midfield connection the striker needs. The Slovenia international arrives after scoring 39 goals across two seasons with Leipzig and has been tipped for superstardom from a tender age.<\/p>\n
Saha, who played 124 times for United, made his assessment on the The Athletic FC Podcast. So we\u2019re still very weak in that department. And this is why I think Sesko will struggle maybe a little bit until we get that sorted.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s got the quality because he\u2019s tall, he\u2019s going to score goals in the air, and he\u2019s very technical as well. All his movement is is right up there, so I\u2019m very confident he\u2019s going to get chances and he\u2019s going to score.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut to get us where we want, I don\u2019t think that\u2019s going to be on him. Those two playmakers, [Matheus] Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo, will have to kick on very soon, [otherwise] you will see Sesko struggling as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
United have appeared livelier in the final third with Cunha and Mbeumo occupying attacking midfield roles, but the club\u2019s inability to recruit a central midfielder remains a concern. Brighton & Hove Albion\u2019s Carlos Baleba was the primary target in that area but proved unaffordable.
