Diogo Dalot has withdrawn from Portugal\u2019s squad with an injury, a development that increases concern around Manchester United\u2019s early-season fitness picture. The full back returned to Manchester after pulling out of international duty, with the club hoping the decision prevents a more serious problem.<\/p>\n
Dalot was one of only three United players to start both the Grimsby Town and Burnley matches in quick succession. Matheus Cunha was another of that trio and limped out of the Burnley game after 31 minutes.<\/p>\n
Bruno Fernandes remains with the Portugal squad. It is not yet clear whether Dalot will be ruled out of any club fixtures. The club will monitor him closely ahead of the return of domestic action later this month.<\/p>\n
How long Cunha could be sidelined is also unknown, although the Brazilian posted a positive update on social media. Mason Mount was the other player who could not finish the Burnley clash, a precautionary withdrawal at half-time.<\/p>\n
Dalot has been used on both flanks to begin the season. He played on the right in United\u2019s first three games of the season, starting two of them and replacing Amad Diallo at wing back in the Fulham draw.
