Bayern Munich have finalised the arrival of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson on an initial loan with a view to a permanent transfer. The agreement followed protracted talks after Jackson remained in Munich with his agent despite being asked to return to Chelsea, as both clubs sought terms that would satisfy Chelsea\u2019s demand for a permanent sale.<\/p>\n
Chelsea eventually accepted a season-long loan that contains an obligatory purchase clause tied to appearances. Jackson has signed his contract with Bayern, completing what is believed to be the most expensive loan move of all time, with a fee of \u00a314.2 million the largest for a one-year agreement in history.<\/p>\n

Sporting director Christoph Freund underlined the profile Bayern expect Jackson to add. \u201cNicolas will add another dimension to our attacking play. He covers a wide range of areas. He brings a lot of speed, is dangerous in front of goal and looks for ways to get in behind the defence for the good of the team. He is also an open, positive guy and will have no trouble settling into our team,\u201d Freund said.<\/p>\n
Bayern\u2019s purchase clause stands at \u00a356.2 million, taking the full potential cost of the package to \u00a370.4 million. Chelsea originally paid \u00a332 million to sign Jackson from Villarreal in 2023; during his time at Stamford Bridge he registered 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 games.<\/p>\n
Chelsea\u2019s summer recruitment has continued irrespective of Jackson\u2019s exit. Delap was signed from Ipswich Town for \u00a330 million, and Jo\u00e3o Pedro joined from Brighton & Hove Albion for \u00a360 million.
