Tottenham Hotspur completed a deadline-day loan capture of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, a move that adds depth to a forward line weakened by injury.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old arrives as Dominic Solanke continues his recovery from an ankle injury suffered in preseason. With Richarlison the only other centre forward currently fit and available, Kolo Muani gives manager Thomas Frank an alternative up front and the ability to operate both centrally and out wide.<\/p>\n
\u201cRandal is a quality player who has proven himself over a number of years, playing for big teams in the Champions League and also with good experience for the France national team,\u201d Frank gushed. \u201cHe’s a good age, in the prime of his career, has good qualities that will suit both us and the Premier League, and gives us a different option in the final third being able to play out wide and through the middle.<\/p>\n

The club noted the forward’s recent numbers: the 26-year-old scored 10 goals in 22 appearances for the Old Lady while assisting three times. Kolo Muani has also made 31 appearances for the France national team. He rose to prominence as an Eintracht Frankfurt player before moving to PSG where he failed to make a serious impact.<\/p>\n
The French forward most recently played in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, scoring twice across three appearances as Juventus were eliminated in the round of 16 by Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
Kolo Muani’s arrival follows Spurs signing Xavi Simons on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig. The club pursued a creative attacking midfielder throughout the window, targeting Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, plus Manchester City\u2019s Savinho, after James Maddison\u2019s ACL injury. Forest accused Spurs of an illegal approach for Gibbs-White as the England international signed a new deal with his club.
