Aston Villa are poised to take Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho on a season-long loan, sources have revealed. Fabrizio Romano reported that United have reached an agreement with Villa after Sancho spent a 12-month spell at Chelsea last season.<\/p>\n
The move addresses Villa\u2019s recent departures on the flanks. Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio left when their loan deals expired this summer, and Leon Bailey has joined Roma on loan. Those exits have left Unai Emery with limited options on the wings and financial constraints have prevented Villa from pursuing an expensive replacement.<\/p>\n
A loan for Sancho would provide cover for the upcoming season and give the 25-year-old an opportunity to rebuild his transfer value. It is stressed that Villa\u2019s negotiations over Sancho are separate from Manchester United\u2019s interest in Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Mart\u00ednez. United and Mart\u00ednez have discussed terms, with personal terms reportedly agreed. The Argentina international is thought to be keen on the move and was left out of Sunday\u2019s defeat to Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n
