Arsenal have moved closer to a deal that will send Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto as part of a summer push to generate transfer funds. Negotiations over Kiwior have been ongoing and the player is expected to travel to Porto by Saturday lunchtime to finalise terms. The 25-year-old Poland international joined Arsenal from Spezia in 2023 and leaves after 68 appearances across all competitions in two and a half seasons.<\/p>\n
Reports differ on the structure and value of the Kiwior transfer. Fabrizio Romano outlines a loan with obligation to buy featuring a \u20ac2 million loan fee, \u20ac17 million in guaranteed money and up to \u20ac10 million in add-ons, a package that could reach \u20ac29 million. The Athletic reports an alternative picture, describing a guaranteed \u20ac25 million plus a further \u20ac2 million in add-ons with no loan element mentioned.<\/p>\n
Kiwior\u2019s departure would free room for Arsenal to push for Piero Hincapi\u00e9, a player who had been a target for Tottenham Hotspur until his preference for Arsenal became clear early in negotiations. The Ecuador international is understood to have agreed personal terms over a prospective transfer to north London, but a lack of sales this summer needed to be addressed. Hincapi\u00e9 has a \u20ac60 million release clause in his Bayer Leverkusen contract. Arsenal have been tipped to try and negotiate a loan with obligation to buy that would delay a permanent transfer until next summer while still providing guaranteed money to the Bundesliga side.<\/p>\n
The club also has other players available to move, including Oleksandr Zinchenko, F\u00e1bio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga, a process intended to help avoid breaching UEFA\u2019s squad cost rule, which limits spending on transfers, wages and associated costs to 70% of a club\u2019s revenue.<\/p>\n
Zinchenko could be offered an exit to Marseille, who are managed by Roberto De Zerbi. The Athletic report that Marseille are exploring a permanent transfer but may struggle to match the Ukrainian\u2019s current salary. Zinchenko lost his place as Mikel Arteta\u2019s preferred starting left back last season to Myles Lewis-Skelly.
