The 2025 summer transfer window has produced heavy spending and fresh valuations across the Premier League. Sky Sports compiled squad costs and compared them with Transfermarkt\u2019s estimated market values to rank every top-flight squad on a cost to value basis. Arsenal top the list as the most valuable squad at a reported \u00a31.1 billion, with squad costs of \u00a3826 million and the largest positive gap at +\u00a3315.9 million ($425.3 million). Chelsea are the most expensive squad by cost at \u00a31.2 billion but sit in negative territory with a -\u00a3227.5 million market gap. Manchester City have spent heavily with reported squad costs of \u00a3987.3 million and a squad value of \u00a31.1 billion, producing a +\u00a3137.2 million difference.<\/p>\n
Brighton also show a strong surplus at +\u00a3150.9 million while Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Liverpool register positive gaps of +\u00a3129.4 million, +\u00a3121.4 million and +\u00a3109.2 million respectively. Clubs with notable positive margins include Fulham (+\u00a373.3 million), Nottingham Forest (+\u00a360.2 million), Brentford (+\u00a356.7 million) and Burnley (+\u00a350 million). Mid-table differences include Wolves (+\u00a340.4 million), Newcastle (+\u00a339.2 million), Leeds (+\u00a329.3 million), Aston Villa (+\u00a38.2 million) and Everton (+\u00a36.4 million).<\/p>\n
On the other side, Tottenham are slightly negative at -\u00a311.9 million, Bournemouth are -\u00a338.5 million and West Ham are -\u00a363 million. Manchester United are the most out of step from value, with squad costs of around \u00a31.1 billion and a reported deficit of \u00a3322.9 million ($434.7 million).<\/p>\n
Several high-profile moves shaped the numbers. Man City have recruited players including Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders. Liverpool smashed the British transfer record to acquire Florian Wirtz, with Hugo Ekitik\u00e9 the second-most expensive signing this summer. Arsenal made significant additions with Viktor Gy\u00f6keres and Mart\u00edn Zubimendi among the pricier arrivals and Eberechi Eze just outside the top 10. Manchester United brought in Benjamin \u0160e\u0161ko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo and own three of the top 10 expensive moves this summer.<\/p>\n
