Many of us owned\u00a0<strong>Jarrod Bowen<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Niclas F\u00fcllkrug<\/strong>\u00a0for that exact fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bowen<\/strong>: Proven FPL gold. He\u2019s been involved in over 40% of West Ham\u2019s goals in recent seasons. Yes, the Hammers looked poor, but I don\u2019t think this is panic time. Label this as a possible transfer, you could do it, but there\u2019s no rush.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>F\u00fcllkrug<\/strong>: Different story. He\u2019s not proven in the Premier League, and his FPL ceiling looks low. Selling him is more justified, but I wouldn\u2019t say it\u2019s urgent either. Last season, people jumped on Zirkzee after a goal off the bench, but it wasn\u2019t a sign of things to come. An Alternative Looks Better<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the trickiest one. You might be tempted by a new star like&nbsp;<strong>Reijnders<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Semenyo<\/strong>, but ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Did you want them before Gameweek 1?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are they nailed for minutes?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was their performance sustainable, not just a one-off?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If all three are true, then go for it. His minutes were never going to be 90 each week, but at 7.5m he\u2019s still value. He looked excellent in Liverpool\u2019s 4\u20130 win, taking set pieces and linking play beautifully. The returns will come.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Omar Marmoush<\/strong>: Sell if you want. He\u2019s not nailed, doesn\u2019t suit the system, and you don\u2019t pay 8.5m for a bench risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cole Palmer: On Thin Ice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Palmer is the trickiest call of the lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The good: on penalties, massive ceiling, capable of explosive hauls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bad: poor form carried over from last season, looked flat in Gameweek 1, and Chelsea\u2019s fixtures toughen after West Ham in gameweek 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d give him two more weeks. But if he\u2019s still blanking by Gameweek 4, it\u2019s time to move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pedro Porro: Start or Bench?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Porro is one of the best long-term defensive assets in the game, but\u00a0<strong>away to Manchester City in Gameweek 2<\/strong>\u00a0is brutal. Numbers suggest that Spurs have only a 10% clean sheet chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve got a decent bench, I\u2019d sit him. If not, don\u2019t panic, he could still nick an attacking return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t Waste Chips in Gameweek 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some are considering&nbsp;<strong>Free Hit<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Bench Boost<\/strong>&nbsp;this week. I\u2019d strongly advise against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Free Hit<\/strong>: only helps for one week, and you get your \u201cbad\u201d team back. If your squad really is that bad, just Wildcard later with a bit more information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bench Boost<\/strong>: benches like Dubravka, Esteve, Guiu, and Porro are relying on low-probability outcomes. You\u2019ll likely get 4 to 10 points. Save it for a better chance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gameweek 2 is not the time to panic.
