Galatasaray are ready to test Manchester United\u2019s stance with a sizeable proposal for Bruno Fernandes, but the club captain is expected to stay put.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest the Turkish champions are preparing an offer worth $57.9 million (\u00a342.7 million, \u20ac50 million). Of that sum, $40.5 million would be guaranteed, with the rest tied to bonuses. The package is not limited to a transfer fee either, as Fernandes himself is being lined up for a contract that would more than double his current take-home pay.<\/p>\n
The salary on offer is understood to be $24.3 million (\u00a318 million, \u20ac21 million) per season across four years. Because Turkish clubs cover players\u2019 taxes, that figure would be paid directly into Fernandes\u2019s pocket. Additional performance-related payments are also included, with bonuses linked to domestic and European success, as well as assist totals in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n
Those terms are being presented against the backdrop of Fernandes\u2019s current earnings in the UK, where tax and national insurance take a sizeable cut. His take-home pay is reported to be about $9.3 million per year after the rise triggered by Champions League qualification.<\/p>\n
Even so, Manchester United have no intention of selling. BBC Sport report that there is no fee that would persuade the club to part with their captain. Fernandes has one year left on his contract and has not indicated any move toward an extension, but there is also little sign that he wants to leave Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
From a footballing perspective, United\u2019s position is easy to understand. Fernandes delivered the most productive creative season of his career last year, finishing with a record 21 Premier League assists. He also led the league with 136 chances created, while adding nine goals and finishing top of the squad for possessions won.<\/p>\n
