Sunderland AFC have completed the signing of France international fullback Nordi Mukiele (27) from Ligue 1 side PSG, both clubs confirmed. The former RB Leipzig defender has put pen to paper on a four-year contract and will take the No. 20 shirt for Regis Le Bris\u2019 Black Cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sunderland and PSG reportedly agreed a fee of \u20ac12m for the transfer, according to RMC Sport. Mukiele arrives following a season-long loan at Bayer Leverkusen. He featured 45 times for PSG during his spell in Paris and was expected to leave this summer after falling out of favour with Luis Enrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite PSG\u2019s over-reliance on right-back Achraf Hakimi, and the Moroccan international\u2019s expected absence for the AFCON, Mukiele was deemed surplus to requirements in the French capital. The Laval Academy product was moved aside as Warren Za\u00efre-Emery and Jo\u00e3o Neves can fill at right-back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mukiele\u2019s arrival provides Sunderland with a fullback who has experience in different European competitions and a recent history in domestic and continental fixtures.
