Manchester United may end up benefiting from Real Madrid\u2019s sudden interest in Rodri, with the possible consequences for Aur\u00e9lien Tchouam\u00e9ni and Eduardo Camavinga potentially reshaping the market.<\/p>\n
A move for Rodri would not automatically require Madrid to sell either midfielder, but the financial case would be strengthened if one of them were moved on. There is also the possibility that being pushed out of Madrid\u2019s strongest XI could make Tchouam\u00e9ni reconsider where his future lies.<\/p>\n
The Daily Mail writes that Premier League clubs are \u201con alert\u201d over Tchouam\u00e9ni, while BBC Sport says Madrid are \u201cwilling to discuss\u201d a deal.<\/p>\n
United were understood to have made an enquiry about a transfer at the start of the summer, although progress has been limited by Tchouam\u00e9ni\u2019s wish to stay at the Bernab\u00e9u. He had reportedly reached an agreement to extend his contract until 2031, though that has only been reported and not confirmed, leaving his current stance unclear.<\/p>\n

This is not a question of United lacking the means for Tchouam\u00e9ni. It is whether the economics make sense alongside their other priorities. Carlos Baleba remains the only defensive midfield target with a similar price level, though his basic salary is estimated at under $1 million.<\/p>\n
