Nottingham Forest have dismissed Vitor Pereira despite the manager delivering Premier League safety after arriving in February. Pereira took charge with Forest 17th and three points above the relegation zone, and the side confirmed their survival with two games to spare, finishing five points adrift.<\/p>\n
A mutual break clause in Pereira\u2019s contract was triggered just two minutes before it expired at midnight on Tuesday, June 30, a move later confirmed by the club. The Portuguese had a mixed spell: two opening defeats were followed by a seven-game unbeaten run that secured safety. Forest also reached the Europa League semifinals under his management before suffering a heavy defeat to Aston Villa.<\/p>\n
Pereira reacted to the decision, saying: \u201cNaturally, I am disappointed and saddened. I truly believed in what we were building together, and I leave with a sense of pride in everything we achieved over the past months.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio Romano is among those to report that Forest will appoint former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner as Pereira\u2019s successor. Glasner is remembered as the Eagles\u2019 greatest-ever manager, having guided the club to FA Cup and Conference League glory during his time in south London. He confirmed back in January that he\u2019d be moving on at the end of the 2025\u201326 season.
