Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident that new signing Viktor Gy\u00f6keres will be operating at full capacity by the time the club faces Manchester United in their Premier League opener on August 17. The Swedish forward, acquired for a potential fee reaching \u00a363.5 million after add-ons, carries high expectations following 97 goals in two seasons with Sporting CP.<\/p>\n
Gy\u00f6keres had a subdued debut, registering only 14 touches and one shot on target in Arsenal’s goalless draw against Villarreal, a game in which the squad struggled against a strong counterattack. Arteta, however, remains optimistic about his forward’s readiness. When questioned about Gy\u00f6keres\u2019 preparedness for the upcoming match at Old Trafford, the manager said simply, “100%. I think mentally, and understanding what he needs to do, he will be 100% or more.
